Teaching Procedures
Step 1: Lead-in
(1) The teacher plays a video/shows some pictures about the environment of the earth and invites students to have a free talk about the recent environment condition.
(2) The teacher invites students to think about what will happen to our earth and predict the following listening material.
【設(shè)計意圖】通過播視頻或圖片呈現(xiàn)目前地球的情況,請學(xué)生就該話題自由討論。通過談話激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)動機(jī),提高課堂的課堂參與度,同時引導(dǎo)學(xué)生預(yù)測對話內(nèi)容。
Step 2: Presentation
(1) Students listen to the tape for the first time to get the main idea and confirm their predictions.
【設(shè)計意圖】第一遍聽對話,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生獲取對話的主旨大意并確認(rèn)之前的預(yù)測是否正確。
(2) Students listen again carefully and answer the following questions:
Q1: What will the future be like?
Q2: Will people have to move to other planets?
Q3: What can we do?
【設(shè)計意圖】通過問答活動幫助學(xué)生有選擇地進(jìn)行聽力活動,抓住關(guān)鍵詞深化對對話細(xì)節(jié)內(nèi)容的理解。
(3) Students listen to the tape and try to imitate the pronunciation and intonation in the conversation.
【設(shè)計意圖】通過模仿錄音,跟讀對話的方式,加深學(xué)生對對話內(nèi)容的情感理解,改善學(xué)生的英語語音面貌。
Step 3: Practice
(1) Students practice the conversation in pairs.
【設(shè)計意圖】通過結(jié)對練習(xí),提高學(xué)生的口語水平,練習(xí)對話。
(2) Students work in pairs to talk about what they can do to protect the environment in daily life. Then, the teacher invites several pairs to show their conversations.
【設(shè)計意圖】學(xué)生從日常生活著手,考慮如何切身做到保護(hù)環(huán)境,提高學(xué)生的口語表達(dá)能力以及環(huán)保意識。
Step 4: Consolidation
Students work in groups of four and apply for a position of chairman of an environment organization. They are required to give a public speech about how to protect the environment. The teacher and others will be the judges and choose the suitable candidate.
【設(shè)計意圖】創(chuàng)設(shè)競聘環(huán)境保護(hù)組織主席的情境,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生分小組討論后進(jìn)行演講展示,學(xué)生和教師選出最佳人選,有利于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生綜合語言運(yùn)用能力。
Step 5: Summary
Students will be encouraged to summarize what they have learnt and the teacher makes supplement if necessary and encourages student to protect the environment.
【設(shè)計意圖】引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)行內(nèi)容總結(jié),教師補(bǔ)充并鼓勵學(xué)生注意保護(hù)環(huán)境。
Step 6: Homework
Students can make a survey in their communities about how people protect the earth and share with others next class.
【設(shè)計意圖】學(xué)生通過調(diào)查社區(qū)內(nèi)人們?nèi)绾伪Wo(hù)環(huán)境,并與其他同學(xué)分享,有利于鞏固所學(xué)知識。
